Well said, as a gun owner, I do enjoy going to the range and testing myself against targets. I am in favor of gun registration and background checks. In addition to the mental illness issue is the current push by the gun lobby (including the presidents son), for legalizing silencers. Nowhere in my imagination can I find justification for the public to have need for silencers. One of the rationales is so that younger shooters delicate hearing is not damaged. Smaller caliber or ear plugs provide the same protection. It’s a crying shame that common sense is so uncommon.
