Probation offenders arrested in joint operation with law enforcement partners

Three Monroe County residents were arrested Friday following an operation between the Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Department of Corrections, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Two Marathon residents were arrested:

• Nichols Adolfuls Phipps, 38, of the 10000 block of 6^thAvenue, was charged with failure to register as a sex offender and probation violation.
• Benjamin Aquino, 66, of the 300 block of 25^thStreet Oceanside, was charged with probation violation.

One Big Pine Key resident was arrested:

• Mario Anthony Becerra, 24, of the 31000 block of Avenue H, was charged with probation violation.
