Oldest House Museum and Garden Now A Member of ROAM

Key West, Florida, August 30, 2022 – The Oldest House Museum and Garden is proud to join the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM). Now Old Island Restoration Foundation members can take full advantage of their memberships entitling them to visit participating museums all across the country when showing their OIRF membership card. To join simply visit OIRF.org and click join. Once you have signed up or renewed your membership you will receive a card which can be used to tour a wide selection of member museums all across the country. As a member of OIRF you will help support our goals which include:

  • Celebrating and sustaining Key West’s culture, history and architecture
  • Preserve The Oldest House in South Florida and keep it open to the            public throughout the year.
  • Award Historic Preservation Grants for projects in Key West that demonstrate historic architectural significance.
  • UNESCO World designation for the island in order to balance history, culture and quality of life

Qualifying Members of Participating Institutions will receive:

  • Host institution’s member general admission price for at least two guests, plus any additional at the discretion of the host institution.
  • Host institution’s member shop discount.
  • Access to member-only events / lectures unless specifically restricted by the host institution.
  • Member pricing for special events / lectures / exhibitions unless specifically restricted by the host institution.
