National HIV Testing Day Event in Stock Island on June 28, 2022

(Monroe, County, Fla) — The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County was joined by Rural Health Network Monroe County and the Health Insurance Navigation Program with Epilepsy Alliance Florida at Bernstein Park on June 28, 2022, National HIV Testing Day.  The department provided free HIV testing and distributed prevention bags, HIV Self- Testing kits, and educational brochures. The department also collected data from Stock Island residents and employees and awarded a five-dollar food voucher for completed surveys.  Stock Island residents and employees can take the survey at www.tinyurl.com/healthstockisland. Rural Health Network Monroe County provided primary medical care and dental services as well as testing.  They will be in Big Pine Key in July and in Marathon in August.  Epilepsy Alliance Florida provided health education and free assistance for enrolling in a health insurance plan.
