NATIONAL FAITH HIV/AIDS AWARENESS DAY

Monroe County, Fla.— The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County (DOH-Monroe) invites residents and visitors to join them in observing National Faith HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on August 29, 2022.  This observance day is intended to engage faith-based communities to work together for HIV/AIDS education, prevention, treatment, care, and support, and to reduce and eliminate stigma and discrimination. 

HIV affects people of all faiths across the United States. DOH-Monroe’s HIV/AIDS Program Team, in partnership with faith-based community leaders, continue to assist the community and PLWH (People Living with HIV) in the Florida Keys by advocating for prevention and self-care.
