MONROE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS TO ELECT NEW CHAIRMAN
WHO: School Board Members, Executive Leadership Team, the Public
WHAT: Members will meet to elect chairman and vice chairman of the board during an organizational meeting. Board members will also determine set days and times for workshops/meetings. Board member assignments and agenda format approval is set take place during the organizational meeting as well.
Superintendent Mark Porter will then workshop with members the Monroe County School District’s 2018 Legislative Priorities and the Sugarloaf Housing Task Force. Officials will recognize a generous donation to the District from the Florida Association of School Administrators’ during the regular meeting.
Board members and District officials will have the opportunity to visit the Plantation Key School site to receive a progress update on construction of the new school.
