Marathon Community Theatre presents SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR

MARATHON, FL. (March 1st, 2021) – Marathon Community Theater, located at 5101 Overseas Highway, Marathon, Florida 33050, proudly presents the romantic comedy SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR, by Bernard Slade, produced by special arrangement with Dramatist Play Service, Inc. The production is directed by Marianne Benvenuti with producer Joanne Zimmerman. SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR will be presented on MCT’s main-stage as a reading March 12,13, 14, 19 and 20, 2021 with Friday and Saturday evening shows at 8:00 pm and a 3:00 pm matinee offered on Sunday, March 14th, 2021. Tickets are $25.00 each, before sales tax and ticket fee, and are on sale at the Marathon Community Theatre’s Box Office in person or by phone at (305) 743-0994.

SYNOPSIS: Doris and George meet by chance over dinner at a rural inn in California in February 1951. They wake up the next morning in the same bed, trying to figure out how. Their mutual attraction brings them together on the same February weekend in the same place each year. Over twenty-five years, their initial passion deepens into a profound love and friendship, supporting each other through their triumphs and tragedies.
