Man arrested for marine theft

A 36-year-old Stock Island man was arrested Monday for stealing a propeller and attempting to steal a boat engine.

Patrick John Humes was charged with larceny and property damage.

Detectives talked to witnesses and viewed security camera footage, which led to Humes being the suspect.

A propeller stolen from Robbie’s Marina was found in Humes’ truck as well as clothes matching witnesses’ description of the suspect seen attempting to steal a boat engine at Stock Island Marina Village.

Humes was taken to jail.
