Man arrested following knife incident

A 56-year-old Tavernier, Florida man was arrested Wednesday following a domestic situation in which a woman’s foot was cut with a knife. There were no life-threatening injuries reported.

Charles Samuel Trapp was charged with aggravated battery.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Lincoln Avenue in Tavernier at approximately 10:35 p.m. to find a 31-year-old female who was bleeding from the left foot. She was taken to Mariners Hospital where she receive stitches. Blood was found throughout the house and a fixed-blade knife was found near a bathroom sink.

The victim stated Trapp threw the knife at her during an argument. The knife became lodged in her foot. Trapp was taken to jail.
