KEY WEST, FL — Keyfillery, the premier zero-waste destination in Key West, is proud to announce a special fundraising partnership with Justin Harris and his drag persona, Trixie Dixie, in his quest for the Miss Island Queen 2026 crown. On Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, Keyfillery will donate 15% of all total sales—both in-store and online—directly to Trixie Dixie’s fundraising campaign.
The Miss Island Queen competition is a high-energy amateur drag event that pairs local community members with professional drag mentors for a six-week fundraising sprint. Justin Harris is competing as “Trixie Dixie” under the expert guidance of drag coach Beatrix Dixie. The campaign culminates in the “Drag Extravaganza,” where the contestant who raises the most for the community is crowned the queen.
All proceeds from the Miss Island Queen initiative benefit Samuel’s House, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has served Monroe County for over 25 years. Samuel’s House operates three shelters providing safe, nurturing housing for homeless women, mothers with children, and intact families, helping them build lasting stability and independence.
“We were looking for a campaign partner and knew we wanted a local small business that could grow alongside this effort,” says Trixie Dixie’s Campaign Manager (and wife), Abbey Weiss. “This partnership is a ‘win-win-win’: customers know their purchases support a vital cause, Trixie Dixie receives a significant fundraising boost, and Keyfillery expands its reach within the community. It’s about neighbors helping neighbors.”
Keyfillery owners Emma Harlow and Laura Grzyb invite the community to visit their shop at 830 Fleming Street or shop online at www.keyfillery.com during the two-day event. Keyfillery offers a unique way to shop by providing quality, non-toxic products without plastic packaging. Customers can bring their own clean containers or purchase reusable ones to stock up on: liquid laundry detergent and household cleaners; hand soap, dish soap, and body wash; shampoo and conditioner; zero-waste accessories like dryer balls, metal straws, and beeswax wrap.
Justin Harris will continue fundraising as Trixie Dixie through May 4. To view the full schedule of upcoming events or to make a direct donation, please visit www.tinyurl.com/Justin4MIQ2026 .
