JOY Center Activities for March 14

Come spend the day at the J.O.Y. Center, a free lifelong learning program at the Pearl House of Worship, 161 Pearl Ave., Tavernier.  A collaboration between the Upper Keys Life Enrichment Coalition (UKLEC) and Keys to Peace, the program will offer the following activities on Wednesday, March 14:

March 14
9:00 am – 10:00 am: Community Cafe Social Hour – Coffee & baked goodies, Scrabble and Cards
 10:00- 11:00 – “Genealogy for Beginners” by author Robert Page
AND    Publix Apron: Food for Fun and Good Health
AND    Tech 101: Text, Email or Messaging? Communication Options with Betsy Baste
11:00-12:00– Bring your own brown bag lunch or order delivery
12:00-1:00 – “Saturn and Mars: Two Very Different Planets” by Peter Boyce
 12:00 – 3:00 Beginning Mahjong” with Mary Jaeger
 
1:00 -2:00     Mariner’s Wellness Center “Wellness on Wheels” with Jennifer Oestreich (exercise education, blood pressure readings, stress relief tools, proper lifting techniques, etc.)
2:00– 3 – Cards and Games
