“Isolated Island – The Key West COVID-19 Spring of 2020” Photo-book Pre-Printing Special Price Ends Oct 31

An “Isolated Island” book cover photo by Roberta DePiero depicts one of many painted signs created by Mallory Square artists and placed throughout town during the shutdown.

The magic window to purchase the much anticipated, soon-to-be released, numbered, limited edition photo-book, “Isolated Island – The Key West COVID-19 Spring of 2020,” at a special pre-printing price of $49 concludes on October 31. Beginning November 1, the price will be $74.99.

“Isolated Island” features 352 pages of dramatic, captioned images shot by more than 25 area photographers during the Key West COVID-19 Spring of 2020, defined by project producers Roberta DePiero, Carol Tedesco, and Eric Grahl, as running from March 1, when Florida’s first COVID-19 cases were announced, to June 1, the day after the upper Keys checkpoint was dismantled.

“Isolated Island –The Key West COVID-19 Spring of 2020,” is being printed locally by Key West Printing. Contributing photographers are Liz Acar, Peter Arnow, Susan Bailey, Michael Blades, Lynne Bentley-Kemp, Joe and Ozlem Berg, Larry Blackburn, Kyle Campbell, Jeffrey Cardenas, Alyson Crean, Roberta DePiero, Ralph DePalma, Heather D. “Isolated Island” printing costs have been partially covered with a $1000.00 Awesome Foundation Key West grant along with private and public donations. Those interested in contributing to the remaining cost of printing can do so when ordering books at www.sisterseason.com.

Books are expected to be available for pick-up, delivery or shipping on November 1 or soon thereafter, with pick-up locations to be announced. Sister Season Fund will alert all buyers when the books are available for pick-up or delivery.
