HOMETOWN! ANNOUNCES 2018 CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Hometown! — Key West’s and Monroe County’s voting community’s signature resource for candidate and election information– announces its calendar of election events for 2018.
On Saturday, February 10, 2018, Hometown will be holding a ½ day So You’re Thinking About Running: Winning Campaigns Workshop at the Marriott Beachside for those running, considering a run or interested in campaign leadership. $25 advance registration.
The annual Call for Candidates is set for Monday, April 16, at 5PM, at Salute Restaurant on Higgs Beach. Hometown will present Incumbents seeking re-election, other declared and potential candidates for public office, and those merely testing the waters to determine their electability in the upcoming 2018 elections. Free to the public.
On June 22, Hometown will host its Meet the Candidates event. All candidates qualified to run for office either in the August 28, Primary Election or the November 6, General Election are invited to present their proposals to make this area a better place in which to live, and to improve areas of concern for all citizens. Free and open to the public. The Studios of Key West (tentative).
Hometown will also sponsor a series of Q & A events for all contested Primary and General Election races. Panels of local political pundits will question the candidates.
