Eva Jackel Honored as 2023 Recipient of HR 100/Charley P. & Orsolina Toppino Memorial Scholarship

Key West, FL – June 20, 2023 – The Greater Key West Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Eva Jackel as the recipient of the prestigious HR 100/Charley P. & Orsolina Toppino Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship, in the amount of $32,500, is awarded annually to a deserving high school student who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, community service, and involvement in various clubs and organizations.

Eva Jackel, a remarkable student from Key West High School, has excelled in her academic pursuits, and will graduate with an outstanding weighted GPA of 4.38. Her commitment to academic excellence is evident in her dedication to her studies and her unwavering determination to succeed.

In addition to her academic achievements, Eva Jackel has made a significant impact on her community through her extensive involvement of an impressive 160 hours of community service.

Eva’s involvement in extracurricular activities showcases her multifaceted talents and her ability to balance her academic pursuits with her passion for the arts. As a member of the Key West High School Poetry Club and Drama Club, Eva has nurtured her creativity and honed her skills as a performer and writer. Eva’s membership in the National Honors Society and Zonta Club highlights her dedication to leadership, service, and empowering others. These organizations have provided Eva with invaluable opportunities to further develop her leadership skills and engage in meaningful initiatives aimed at fostering positive change.

The HR 100/Charley P. & Orsolina Toppino Memorial Scholarship, generously funded by the Toppino family, Charley Toppino & Sons, Inc., Monroe Concrete, and The Greater Key West Chamber of Commerce, will provide Eva with financial support as she continues her education and pursues her dreams.

Eva has set her sights on a promising academic journey. In the fall, she will attend Santa Fe Community College to earn an associate’s degree in nursing. Eva will continue her education at the University of Florida to obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She plans to pursue a Doctorate of Nursing, with the goal of establishing a career as a Nurse Anesthetist.
