Key’s Power Cost Adjustment Charge To Decrease In January

KEY WEST – Keys Energy Services’ (KEYS) customers will experience a 2-percent decrease in their January energy bills, as a result of decreased energy costs, if their usage remains the same as December.

The Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) charge for the month of January will be negative $22.53 per 1,000 kwh, compared to negative $20.03 per 1,000 kwh in December. The PCA charge recovers the fluctuating cost of energy and will appear as a credit to customers since it is less than originally forecast.

An average KEYS’ residential customer consuming 1,000 kwh of electricity during the month of January will see an energy bill for approximately $114.50, in December this same consumption would have resulted in a bill of $117.00.
