Kim Gordon Sings One Hot Night

When an extraordinary vocalist and stellar band come together, magic happens. Key West favorite, Kim Gordon, will perform a rare solo concert on January 29 at the Key West Theater. Kim Gordon: One Hot Night offers a unique musical mix from this multitalented performer, weaving new Broadway tunes with old favorites, and beloved standards are followed by fresh, fun cabaret numbers. Gordon is backed by a stellar band including musical director Larry Smith and Ann McFarland on piano, plus Paradise Big Band’s Joe Dallas on bass and trombone, Dave Parker on drums, and renowned recording artist Tim Mayer on sax.

Kim Gordon: One Hot Night is an all-new cabaret that’s funny, romantic, swinging and sexy. Known for her pure, bell-like voice and theatrical gravitas, Gordon makes every song tell a story. The musical selections showcase her three-octave range, bouncing from early Fats Waller, Gershwin and Kander and Ebb, to today’s New York cabaret and a touch of contemporary, avant-garde composition.

A professional performer from the age of six, Gordon is recognized for having raised more than half a million dollars to date for needy individuals and nonprofits throughout the Keys, often through concert performances. Kim Gordon: One Hot Night on January 29 at the Key West Theater is her only solo concert this season. With a complete renovation that includes a state-of-the-art sound system, the Key West Theater has become the place for top musical artists. All seats for this performance include cabaret tables for a true nightclub experience. Tickets are $32.50 – $40 and available at www.Keystix.com or by calling 305-296-1520.
