Rubio Too Many Regulations Hamper US Energy Business

By Associate Press

MIAMI (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio says America’s energy industry is burdened by too many federal regulations that stifle innovation and growth.

“An outdated political establishment in Washington” is holding back the industry, he says. His comments were in prepared remarks for a campaign stop in Salem, Ohio, on Friday.

Rubio singles out Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton as an “outdated leader,” though he’s critical of Republicans, too.

As he puts it, “We don’t end up with policies from the 1970s choking our energy production in 2015 without both parties failing to lead.”

The Florida politician says his energy plan would minimize bureaucracy and maximize private innovation.
