(KEY WEST, September 2, 2015) — Monroe County, City of Key West, City of Marathon, and Islamorada, Village of Islands are pleased to host the 7th Annual SE FL Regional Climate Leadership Summit, December 1 – 3, in Key West.
The Climate Leadership Summit is a major regional event which provides a powerful and effective forum for facilitating climate-related collaboration and knowledge sharing. The summit attracts innovative thinkers and leaders from business, government, academia and the non-profit community to exchange ideas and dialogue at panel discussions and networking breaks. Last year’s Summit in Miami-Dade County was attended by more than 600 guests, including national and international experts.
The Annual SE FL Climate Leadership Summit is an event of the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact, a regional partnership of Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, their municipalities and other partners. The Compact partners have been working together since 2009 to develop a strategy that will enable the region to adapt to the impacts of Southeast Florida’s changing climate, such as sea level rise, and to reduce its causes.
The Summit will be held at the Casa Marina Resort in Key West. Discounted event registration is available to those registering by September 10th. Space is limited. To register for the Summit, please visit GreenKeys.info.
