Key West Food & Wine Festival introduces “Last Chef Standing”, a new cooking competition to benefit Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of the Florida Keys (VNA/Hospice).
Last Chef Standing is a cooking competition that is all about skill, speed and ingenuity. Each Saturday in January, two local chefs will compete before a panel of expert judges and turn baskets of mystery ingredients into an extraordinary appetizer. For the challenge, each chef has seconds to plan and 30-minutes to cook an amazing dish with the basket of mystery ingredients given to them moments before the clock starts ticking. Hosted January 10th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. by Bistro Sole at 1019 White Street, this high energy, high pressure competition will have guests rooting for a winner and cheering for the losers.
