You’re not Seeing Things!
The city buses have not shrunk.
You may have noticed the newest vehicle type in the Key West public transit fleet on the streets this past week.
They are called cutaways, are ADA compliant, and can transport 14 passengers. When ridership is typically lower, these vehicles are being integrated in the city bus routes. They are a bit quieter and easier to maneuver.
By using the cutaways along with the existing 30- and 35-foot buses, the City of Key West is trying to maximum transportation services to the riding public in the most safe, efficient, and environmentally conscious method possible. For more information call (305) 809-3910.
