World Breastfeeding Week Celebrated Countywide

(Monroe County, Fla.) – The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County’s WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and the Florida Keys Healthy Start Coalition invite you to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) the first week of August.

WBW is a global campaign that raises awareness and galvanizes action on themes related to normalizing breastfeeding, the gold standard of infant nutrition.  This year’s local theme is “Conchs Celebrating Breastfeeding.”  The department and the coalition are hosting multiple upcoming events — all events are kid friendly.  Food and beverage will be provided.

Events will take place at the following times and locations:
