Women’s March Florida Keys Chapter to host Affordable Housing Panel Discussion on January 29, 2018

(Key West, Fla. – January 8, 2018) On January 29, 2018, Women’s March Florida Keys Chapter will host a public panel discussion on the critical need for more affordable housing in Monroe County. A problem that has been building for years, Hurricane Irma made the shortage of affordable workforce housing even worse when the Category 4 storm destroyed or damaged an estimated 3,000 properties in the Florida Keys.

Panelists include Key West City Commissioner Sam Kaufman, Monroe County Commissioner Heather Carruthers, Executive Director of Florida Keys Outreach Coalition Stephanie Kaple, and John Padget, Key West philanthropist and education activist. The panel discussion, which will include public questions, will be moderated by Teresa Menendez.
