Woman arrested for pointing gun in road rage incident

A 29 year old Miami woman was arrested Saturday night after she reportedly pointed a gun at a family in a car during what appears to be a road rage incident.

The other driver, a 44 year old North Miami resident, called the Sheriff’s Office just after 11 p.m. to report a woman had pointed a handgun at him, his wife and child. He said she was driving a car that passed his vehicle at the 90 mile marker northbound in Key Largo. He described the vehicle as a white sedan with some type of specialized Navy tag on it.

The victim said he and his family were traveling north on U.S. One and the suspect, Christina Bonner, was tailgating him and flashing her headlights at him. He said she finally passed his vehicle on the right hand side and, as she passed, she pointed a black handgun at him.

Bonner’s vehicle was stopped at the 99 mile marker of the highway by Deputy Titus Hodges. There was another woman and a child in the vehicle with Bonner. A search of the vehicle turned up two handguns, one in the center console and one in the glove compartment. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also found in the vehicle.

Bonner was arrested. She was charged with improper exhibition of a firearm and with possession of the two illegal substances. She was booked into jail.
