Woman arrested for battery

A 31-year-old woman was arrested Monday for punching and injuring another woman at an Upper Keys parking lot.

Shelby Lynn Bosserman was charged with battery.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to the 85000 block of the Overseas Highway at approximately 7:30 p.m. regarding a disturbance. Bosserman and the 31-year-old female victim were at the scene. Both had been arguing. The victim had lacerations to her face, arms, and hands. A witness stated Bosserman struck the victim multiple times with a closed fist and slammed the victim’s head against a vehicle.

The victim was taken to Mariners Hospital in Tavernier with non-life-threatening injuries. Bosserman was taken to jail.
