Woman arrested for assault

A 32-year-old Key West, Florida woman was arrested Thursday after throwing a rock at an occupied vehicle and breaking its windshield. There were no injuries reported.

Monica Isabel Caceres was charged with aggravated assault and throwing a deadly missile into a vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to the Quarry Apartments on East Rockland Key at approximately 5:08 p.m. on Dec. 19, 2023 after the 39-year-old male and 37-year-old female victims reported Caceres threw a large rock at their vehicle window, and breaking it while they were both sitting inside.

Warrants were issued for Caceres’ arrest and she was booked into jail on Thursday.
