“What a Glorious Feeling!”

The award-winning Waterfront Playhouse on Mallory Square has opened up ticketing for “the greatest American Movie Musical” of all time, Singin In The Rain. The show will preview on January 24, with the official opening night on Thursday January 25. Performances will continue at 8pm Tuesday through Saturday until February 17 with a 2pm matinee on Saturday February 3. Call 305-294-5015 or visit www.waterfrontplayhouse.org or keystix. Directed by Tom Thayer, with fabulous tap choreography by Carolyn Cooper, music direction by Roberta Jacyshyn, set design by Michael Boyer, lighting by Kim Hansen, film sequences by Marky Pierson and costumed by Maine Music Festival, theatre goers will have a special treat of the famous rain sequence. Patrons in the first 2 rows will be given ponchos to use in the show.

Singin in the Rain starred Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds and features such all time hits as “Good Mornin””, “Broadway Melody”, ”Moses Supposes”, “You are My Lucky Star” and of course the title song “Singin’ in the Rain”. Taking place in the 1920’s, Singin in the Rain is about the beginning of talking movies.

The cast stars Jordan Thomas Burnett, recently seen as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, as Don Lockwood, Jillian Todd, last seen in The Rocky Horror Show as Kathy Selden and Riley Vogel, seen in The Rocky Horror Show as Cosmo and Belle Jampol as Lina Lamont.

The cast also features: John McDonald, Kathy Russ, Mathias Maloff, Dominic Paolillo, Zach Franchini, Ray West, John Swann, Hannah Mello, Cassidy Timms, Courtney Sleet, Lacy Hobbs, Barbara Mundy, Phineas Haskell, and Cannon Haskell with special appearances by Tony Konrath and Christopher Peterson.
