Water Service Update: FKAA Extends 24/7 Water Service to Big Coppit Key, Geiger Key and Shark Key

Three additional Keys are now receiving 24/7 water service from the FKAA. Please note, the boil water notices remains in effect Keys-wide.

BIG COPPITT KEY, GEIGER KEY AND SHARK KEY – Adequate pressure now exists to provide water in this area. Due to line breaks, water may not be available in some sections.

KEY LARGO THROUGH MARATHON – Adequate pressure exists to provide water in this area. Due to line breaks, water may not be available in some sections.

STOCK ISLAND, BIG COPPITT KEY, GEIGER KEY & SHARK KEY – Adequate pressure exists to provide water in this area. Due to line breaks, water may not be available in some sections.

KEY WEST – Water is being provided on a rotating schedule. Water is available from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m.11 a.m. – 1 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. This schedule is subject to change.

OCEAN REEF – Water is being provided on a rotating schedule. Water is available from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m11 a.m. – 1 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. This schedule is subject to change.

LOWER KEYS (south of 7 Mile Bridge to north of Shark Key) – Service is not currently available. Extensive damage to the distribution system, much of which was caused by uprooted trees, does not allow adequate pressure to provide water service. FKAA crews and contractors are working to isolate large leaks and make repairs to the distribution system. There is no time frame for restoration of water service at this time.
