Virtual Adaptation Plan Workshop

The City of Key West is developing a Climate Adaptation Plan to assess threats due to climate change, such as sea level rise, storm surge, extreme flooding events, and to develop an Adaptation Plan for the community. The City has already started to evaluate future climate change impacts on important assets within city limits. The project will formalize a 10-year Adaptation Plan that will identify projects necessary to prepare the City for future climate hazards.

The second virtual community conversation for the project will be held on April 8th at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. This meeting will provide the preliminary results of the Vulnerability Assessment and ask for additional community feedback.

The City has also launched a survey to obtain feedback from the community on the impacts of flooding and climate change. The survey results will help the City prioritize infrastructure improvements, policies, and community programs.

Register for the Public Meeting, find the survey and read more about the project at: www.KeyWestAdaptationPlan.com
