University of Florida earns a spot among the Best Schools 2017 – Schools.com

Hey Florida!

Stuff you already know about Gainesville: Gatorade was conceived in a University of Florida lab in ‘65; it’s halfway between Miami and Atlanta; rock & roll infamy at the end of NW 25th Avenue; and plenty of ghost stories including many right on the UF campus (Norman Hall we’re looking at you).

And speaking of UF, its contribution to the state economy is in the billions and it employs more than 10,000 people; one could say that UF is Gainesville. Right, all this you already know. What you perhaps did not know is that UF was just ranked in the Top 10 Best Schools for 2017 by Schools.com. This is huge, Florida!

Schools.com’s Best Schools for 2017 ranked 1,649 4-year colleges and universities in the U.S.  and after the full and exhaustive analysis, these were the top 10 universities across the country and as you can see, UF commands:

  1. Utah State University
  2. Texas A&M – College Station
  3. University of Utah
  4. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
  5. University of Florida
  6. North Carolina State University at Raleigh
  7. Utah Valley University
  8. University of Oklahoma – Norman Campus
  9. University of Maryland, College Park
