United Way of the Florida Keys to Assist with Hurricane Irma Relief Efforts

UWFK has created a Hurricane Irma Relief Fund to support local nonprofits directly serving the Keys community.

All dollars raised with the fund will be distributed to local nonprofits serving people who live and work throughout the Keys. These organizations work closely with our Keys residents throughout the year and will be crucial in assisting our community in rebuilding during the next several months. They have been vetted by United Way of the Florida Keys in recent years, and are some of the organizations best positioned to help meet the needs of families and individuals throughout Monroe County, proving their efficacy and commitment to positive change in our county.

Currently, funds raised by UWFK will be distributed between 16 organizations that have recently been UWFK community partners.

  • Florida Keys Children’s Shelter serving children Keys-wide
  • Florida Keys Outreach Coalition serving Keys-wide
  • Florida Keys Healthy Start Coalition serving Keys-wide
  • MARC serving adults Keys-wide
  • Domestic Abuse Shelter serving Keys-wide
  • Independence Cay serving the Middle Keys
  • KAIR serving the Middle Keys
  • Marathon Lutheran School serving the Middle Keys
  • Marathon Rec Center serving the Middle Keys
  • Star of the Sea Outreach Mission serving Keys-wide
  • Wesley House Family Services serving Keys-wide and at the Inez Martin Childcare Center in Key West
  • Southernmost Boys & Girls Clubs serving the Lower Keys
  • Bahama Village Music Program serving Key West
  • Metropolitan Community Church serving Key West
  • Womenkind serving Key West

These direct service organizations will receive 100% of the donations raised. UWFK will continue to organize relief efforts and delivery coordination of crucial supplies.
