What Plants are Invasive?

To encourage residents to remove invasive plants during the month of February UF/IFAS, Monroe County Extension Service will be hosting a Lunch-and-Learn Friday, February 11th via Zoom to help identify what plants are invasive in the Florida Keys. Have you been putting off removing those pesky invasive plants? Well, now might be the time to rid your property of these unwanted spreaders. National Invasive Species Awareness Week is February 28th through March 5th and he Florida Invasive Species Partnership is hosting a month-long Florida Weed Wrangle event and by removing invasive plants, you can be entered into a drawing full of cool plant swag. Details will be discussed during the Lunch-and-Learn.

This class is free, however pre-registration is required. You will be sent a zoom link and password via email the day before the meeting. You can participate through your home computer, smartphone or other listening devices.
