Two Broward County men charged with undersized fish

Deputies on routine patrol for resource violations caught two Broward County men early today with eight undersized mangrove snapper.

Deputies Michael Maleta and Matthew Cory were on the Channel 5 Bridge just after midnight. They spoke with 54 year old Adolph Tewari and 54 year old Lenwall Joahrie who were fishing. Joahries had a valid fishing license and Tewari’s had just expired.  The deputies asked to see the men’s catch.

Tewari opened their cooler and showed the deputies ten mangrove snapper and two grunts. Eight of the snapper were undersized.

The men were issued notices to appear in court for possessing the undersized fish.
