Third Home Invasion Suspect in Custody

Two 17-year old Key West men have been arrested following an armed home invasion that occurred early Sunday morning. A third suspect, 18-year old D’Monte Davis was arrested Tuesday..

The suspects allegedly entered the home of Isaac Armanini on 8th Street around 2 a.m. on February 19th. The victim said he was inside with a friend when they heard noises on the front porch. They opened the door and three males forced their way into the residence and attacked Armanini.

The three suspects’ faces were covered, but the victim said the hoods came off during the altercation. Armanini and his friend both recognized all three suspects.

Armanini says that Davis was carrying an AR-styled rifle. Armanini says the suspects charged him, threw him to the ground, and began to beat him with the firearm while demanding money. Armanini said Archer tried to choke him into unconsciousness and held him down so he could not fight back.

The suspects stole cash from Armanini’s wallet as well as Argentinean pesos from the victim’s mother’s wallet.

Detectives who responded to the call found a 9mm round of ammunition on the carpet. Though two of the suspects have been taken into custody the gun has not yet been retrieved.

Archer was arrested around 7 a.m. Sunday at his Seidenberg Avenue home, and Bacon was arrested around 11 a.m. Sunday at his Riviera Drive home. Each has been charged with a felony count of home invasion with a firearm.
