“TWICE TOLD TALES” Debuts at Studios of Key West

The Studios of Key West and TheatreXP are teaming up to bring a special theatrical event to the Studios’ Helmerich Theatre for one night only on Saturday, March 11, at 8 pm.

“Twice Told Tales” is something brand new, and an intriguing kind of theater. Ten talented actors will deliver five monologues – with two actors each performing the same monologue, but in completely different ways, according to how they are directed by five area directors.

“If the same words can mean more than one thing, what does that say?” said Bob Bowersox, the founder of TheatreXP, who has produced dozens of plays and events in Key West. “‘Twice Told Tales’ is an exciting and fun twist to that theatrical staple: the monologue. It’s quite a bit of fun and very enlightening as to how much an actor and a director bring to a piece of theatrical material, and how perspective and approach can completely change that material.”
