Truman Waterfront Farmers Market Adjusts Sunset Hours, Offers Trick or Treating October 28

Effective immediately, the Truman Waterfront Farmers Market will adjust hours of operation on Thursdays to 2 pm until 7 pm to accommodate daylight saving time and earlier sunsets. The Market was Thursdays from 3 pm to sunset. The successful move in time helps beat the heat and allows residents an opportunity to shop after work. The Market typically includes cheese, produce, fruit, baked goods, coffee, plants and fresh seafood along with international cuisine available for take-away.  Arts, crafts and general merchandise round out the offerings. Market organizers have offered additional picnic-style food options, occasional acoustic musicians and a beer and wine stand to encourage the community to shop the market, get dinner and enjoy the sunset views from the Truman Waterfront Park. Blankets and lawn chairs are permitted with ample space to social distance.

On Thursday, October 28 several Market vendors will decorate their booths and offer treats – or tricks – for the kids. Costumes are encouraged. Bring a blanket and enjoy family time at the beautiful Truman Waterfront Park with many dinner, dessert, fresh juices and beverage choices along with a spectacular location to watch sunset.
