Title X program dedicated to comprehensive family planning and related preventive health services
TITLE X WORKS! Cali Roberts, Womankind’s assistant director, met with the offices of Senators Nelson and Rubio and Representative Curbelo to advocate for continuation of Title X; the only federal grant program dedicated to comprehensive family planning and related preventive health services.
Womankind uses Title X funds – through a partnership with the Monroe County Health Department – to provide annual exams, pap tests, breast exams, STD testing, and high blood pressure & anemia checks for teens and women between the ages of 13 and 26. Defunding of the Title X program would leave these patients with no access to low or no cost visits and medications. Without
