Three arrested on multiple drug warrants

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit arrested three people on multiple drug related warrants Thursday.

31 year old Shontel Ferretti was driving a vehicle on Truman Avenue in Key West just before noon when detectives pulled her over. They knew she had outstanding warrants and knew her license was suspended. They found drug paraphernalia in the car as well. She was booked into jail for driving with her license suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also charged with outstanding warrants for selling heroin to an undercover operative twice in early February.

40 year old Ernest Goodman was spotted walking out of a trailer on Maloney Avenue and getting in to a car just before 5 p.m. Thursday. He was pulled over as he drove away because detectives knew he had outstanding warrants. When he was arrested, he was found to have 26 grams of powdered cocaine, 50 grams of crack cocaine and 5.4 grams of heroin in his possession and in the car. $20,000 in cash was also located in his pockets and in a jacket in the car. He was arrested for possession of the illegal substances. He was also charged with selling heroin and cocaine to an undercover operative three times in early February.

28 year old Kiara James was spotted on a motor scooter on Maloney Avenue just after 4 p.m. Detectives knew she had an outstanding warrant. She was pulled over. A search turned up several pills of Alprazolam in her wallet which she did not have a prescription for. She was charged for possession a controlled substance. She was also charged with a warrant for selling ecstasy to an undercover operative in late January.
