The Key West Sail and Power Squadron offering Seamanship course
The Key West Sail and Power Squadron is offering its Seamanship course two nights per week over a six week period beginning on October 17th and ending on November 19th at the Key West Sail and Power Squadron Building located at 5205 College Road, Stock Island.
Seamanship is the recommended course for both power boaters and sailors. Students learn practical marlinespike, navigation rules, hull design and performance, responsibilities of the skipper, boat care, operating a boat under normal and abnormal conditions, what to do in various emergencies and weather conditions, nautical customs and common courtesy on the water. Following the classroom training, the course will also include two days On-The-Water training classes.
Course Registration will take place from 6PM-7PM on Monday, October 17th 2016. Registration fees are $64.00 for USPS members and $68.00 for non-members. Students will receive course materials at registration.
Class dates are: Monday, October 17th, Thursday, October 20th, Monday, October 24th, Thursday, October 27th, Tuesday, November 1st, Thursday, November 3rd, Tuesday, November 8th,
Thursday, November 10th, Monday November 14th. Saturday, November 12th and Saturday, November 19th will both be On-The-Water Training.

Classes begin promptly at 7PM. Please be on time. We will attempt to finish by 9:15PM each evening.
