The Key West Art Center and Gallery hosts an online class with Priscilla Coote

The Key West Art Center and Gallery is proud to host an online class with Priscilla Coote Thursday and Friday, January 21-22, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Priscilla “takes” students to Bahia Honda State Park via video, where she paints from the water using her Amphibious Easel. She explains how she chooses the subject matter and all the considerations that go into painting on the scene in an active environment. Then students join her in the studio to paint along as she interprets her plein air painting into a finished studio work. Students will be sharing what they create for a positive, personalized experience.

Medium can be oils or acrylics.

Priscilla is a lifelong painter who now exhibits and participates in plein air paintouts internationally. A longtime Keys resident, she enjoys sharing what she has learned about painting our unique and special place. Her work may be seen locally at Gallery on Greene in Key West, on Facebook at Priscilla Coote and on her website at, www.pcoote.com.

There will be a maximum of 10 students to ensure personalized feedback is available, Zoom knowledge is required. This is an ideal opportunity to learn from a wonderful instructor whose work is collected worldwide. Please call the Key West Art Center and Gallery at (305)294-1241 to register.
