The Great Stock Island Easter Hunt Set for Sunday, April 12
Some Bunny Loves Stock Island! On Sunday, April 12, the Easter Bunny is hiding 100 Easter Egg Bunny themed Buoys all around Stock Island for locals to find. But instead of filling a basket, organizers want guests fill their camera. Bunny Buoy Eggs will be hidden in plain sight all around Stock Island, south of US1 down to the entrance to Boyd’s Campground (4th Avenue). Residents are encouraged to locate the ‘eggs’, take pictures and share them to I Love Stock Island on FB or on IG with the hashtag #StockIslandEaster or #ILoveStockIsland. Buoy Eggs will be on display Easter Sunday from 9 am to 3 pm.
There is also a bingo card available for free download on the facebook event page. Kids can X out every numbered buoy they find or can keep track of their own progress. Five random participants who post their card will be awarded an Easter basket full of treats delivered to their home in Stock Island or Key West.
Participants are reminded this is a social distancing game designed to engage the community to get outside. They are encouraged to please keep in mind:
1. Don’t TAKE or move the Easter Egg Bunny Buoys so everyone can enjoy the game. Only take pictures!
2. Please only bike or ride with your immediate quarantine family.
3. Don’t congregate at any location. Please wait for the other party to leave before you step up. Social distancing 6 foot rules apply
4. 5 participants will be selected at random to receive an Easter candy filled basket delivered to their Stock Island or Key West address
5. Have FUN, enjoy the Sunshine and SMILE – some Bunny is watching!
