THE AMERICAN RED CROSS GREATER MIAMI AND THE KEYS CHAPTER WELCOMES MARY BRADLEY SHAFEY AND CAROLYN HICKS TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
MIAMI, Fla. (November 3, 2020) – The Greater Miami and The Keys Chapter of the American Red Cross announced that Mary “Mimi” Bradley Shafey and Carolyn Hicks will join its Board of Directors.
Mary “Mimi” Bradley Shafey started her journey with the Red Cross in 2016, when she became a Tiffany Circle member with the South Florida Red Cross. In 2017, she chaired their Centennial Celebration Ball and was recognized with the Volunteer Philanthropy Award. A year later, Shafey was recognized for her exceptional commitment and service to the Red Cross with the Silver Anniversary Sara Woodruff Hopkins Philanthropy Award. Today, Shafey continues to serve the Red Cross on its National Tiffany Circle Council, where she sits on the Communications Committee.
In addition, she served as the President of the Junior League of Miami Foundation in 2018-2019 and was named Sustainer of the Year in 2016. In 2019, the Junior League nominated her as their candidate for ‘The Donor Next Door Philanthropy Award’ from the Miami Foundation.
Carolyn Hicks is a Banker for the J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Miami, Fla., where she works with an integrated team on customized wealth management solutions. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Hicks was a Senior Associate Wealth Strategist at Northern Trust, advising high-net-worth families both domestically and internationally.
Outside of her position with the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, she is a member of the Alumni Council for the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, serves on the American Red Cross Ball Committee in Miami, and holds the position as Co-Chair of the American Red Cross Party in Red. As an active member of the United Way, Carolyn sits on the Women United Executive Committee and participates with the United Way Young Leaders Program.
