Texas Roadhouse partners with the Arbor Day Foundation to aid in Florida Hurricane Recovery

Texas Roadhouse Arbor Day Proclamation to be presented by the City of Key West

Lincoln, Nebr. (May 7, 2018) – The Arbor Day Foundation and Texas Roadhouse announced today a community tree planting at Bayview Park in Key West, Florida on May 11, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Community volunteers and master gardeners will partner with Texas Roadhouse in the planting of large trees in Bayview Park. This is part of Texas Roadhouse’s ongoing five-year commitment with the Arbor Day Foundation in helping to restore the tree canopies across America devastated by the hurricanes of 2017.

“Because of Texas Road House’s generous support, the citizens of Key West will be able to enjoy the tree canopies in one of their local parks that was destroyed by Hurricane Irma,” said Dan Lambe, president, Arbor Day Foundation. “Because of this project Key West will be on the path to regain the benefits such as clean air and water, as well as beauty that these trees will provide.”

In addition to the tree planting the City of Key West will proclaim May 11, 2018 as Texas Roadhouse Arbor Day in appreciation of the company’s efforts. The proclamation will be presented my Mayor, Craig Cates at the May 11th City Commission meeting.

“We are proud to partner with the Arbor Day Foundation and plant it forward in Bayview Park,” said Travis Doster, Senior Director of Communications at Texas Roadhouse.
