Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested

On October 20th, the Key West Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit arrested suspected drug dealer James Moise on four felony counts. Detectives conducted a traffic stop on Moise while he was driving his vehicle on First Street in Key West. Moise was driving, along with his girlfriend and a young child, who was seated in the back seat of the vehicle. When detectives arrested Moise, he had a loaded gun in the front waistband of his shorts, however he did possess a Florida concealed weapon permit. Detectives obtained warrants for Moise after conducting two undercover operations in which they purchased a total of 69 Alprazolam pills from him.

Moise is currently being held in the Monroe County Detention Center facing two charges of sale of a controlled substance and two charges of use of a two-way communications device to commit a felony.
