Have you heard? There is an upcoming concert at The Key West Theater, in the backstage listening room, called “Summer Sounds: A Local-ish Concert Series”, with Larry Baeder and Ben Harrison on Thursday, August 4th, at 7 pm. The concert will consist of Blues, Jazz, and a lot of Key West.

Larry Baeder is a contemporary performer and recording artist, with an extensive list of musical accomplishments and collaborators. Baeder was born with the natural ability to play music, and has been doing it for his whole life. Over the past two decades, he has become a local icon, from his solo performances, to those with his band, the Muse Gurus, and everything in between.

Ben Harrison is an author, musician, and playwright who also has a prominent voice in the community, from his performances, to his words, to his passion for Key West history. As said on his website, “What makes Ben Harrison’s writing so enjoyable is that, at his core, he is a barroom guitar player/singer/entertainer who somehow manages to blend history, musical theater, Key West, country music, and humor into unusual stories that are mostly true.” Similarly to Baeder, Harrison was born gifted with an understanding for music at a young age.

We are so excited for this concert, and can’t wait for it to finally be here! For tickets, priced at $35, you can visit thekeywesttheater.com. The event is sponsored by Cat5 Key Lime Lager, The Weekly Newspapers, Champagne Breakfast, LLC, and Sunshine Scooters.
