Speeding motorist arrested after fleeing

A 40-year-ol Miami-Dade County man was arrested Tuesday for fleeing from a Deputy on U.S. 1.

Eduardo Jesus Rosales-Montero was charged with fleeing and eluding.

Deputy Corbin Hradecky was on patrol at approximately 3:55 a.m. in Key Largo when he spotted a white Cadillac sport-utility-vehicle traveling 81 mph in a 45 mph zone. Deputy Hradecky got behind the SUV and turned on his lights and siren. The SUV speed up to 103 mph.

The SUV turned suddenly onto Avenue B and then 1st Terrace where it was forced to stop at the dead end street.

Deputy Hradecky kept the driver, later identified as Rosales-Montero, at gunpoint. Sgt. Josh Brady and Deputy Daniel Valdes arrived. Rosales-Montero was taken into custody without further incident.

Rosales-Montero said he was working as a ride-share driver and was late picking up a fare. He then changed his story.

Rosales-Montero was taken to jail.
