SMALLEST PARADE IN THE UNIVERSE ARTIST DEADLINE FEB 8!

The application deadline for the Fourth Annual Smallest Parade in the Universe is this Friday, Feb 8! Artists competing for the $1750 in prize money and live auction sales of tabletop-size floats can download an application at www.thesmallestparadeintheuniverse.com or pick up one at the Florida Keys Council on the Arts, second floor of the Gato Building on Simonton Street, or MARC House, 1401 Seminary Street, Key West. The finished floats are due March 1 for the show and live auction March 2 at Key West Theater.

The theme for the Fourth Annual Smallest Parade is “It’s About Time.”

The small floats will roll down a Make-Believe Duval Street complete with a “police escort” and a bobble-head grand marshal at the Key West Theater on Eaton Street.

Artists create a “float” within 18” tall, wide, and long to compete for a $1000 first prize, $500 second prize and $250 third prize! At the end of the parade theater performance, a live auction sells the floats.  The MARC charity gets 50% and the artists get 50% of the sale price.
