Small plane crash off Marathon

There were no reported injuries following a small airplane that landed at approximately 12:58 p.m. Thursday in the Atlantic Ocean about 200 yards off Sombrero Beach Road in Marathon, Florida.

Initial reports indicated an adult male and an adult female in the aircraft were rescued by good Samaritans on the water. There were no reported serious injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol is the investigating agency.
