Sheriff’s Office removes graffiti

Sheriff Rick Ramsay and the Sheriff’s Office are committed to keeping our communities safe and clean. The Sheriff’s Office has noticed more graffiti than usual as of late and our staff has been working double time to clean up after those causing this unsightly nuisance. And to those who are vandalizing the community, Sheriff Ramsay warns you that deputies are on the lookout and will be enforcing the law.

  • In Key West, near the old Banner Tire formerly located on the 2300 block of North Roosevelt Boulevard: Det. Sgt. David Smith, Det. Spencer Curry and Det. David Fernandez painted over a large swath of graffiti.
  • At the Key West International Airport: And old building at the end of Government Road near the airport perimeter has been a recent target a few times over. Airport Deputies Vicki Lockwood and Sonya Morgan as well as Thomas Hill and Boyd Williams with the Sheriff’s Office Training Division were joined by some Corrections Academy recruits to get the building back to looking ship shape.
  • In Islamorada: Deputy Bryan Branco cleaned up recently near Whale Harbor Bridge.
