Sheriff’s Office and Key West Police donate cars to college

Sheriff Rick Ramsay and Key West Police Department Chief Sean Brandenburg presented College of the Florida Keys President Dr. Jonathan Gueverra and other school leaders with two Dodge Chargers on Friday.

Both cars are former law enforcement vehicles.

One unmarked vehicle will be used by the college for administrative purposes and the other will retain the lights, siren and rear cage for use in law enforcement training at the college’s Institute for Public Safety.

“The Sheriff’s Office and the Key West Police Department have a strong working relationship with the College of the Florida Keys as many of our officers are trained at their campuses,” said Sheriff Rick Ramsay. “Chief Brandenburg and I are always looking to ways to continue and strengthen that partnership.”
