SENATOR MARCO RUBIO HELPS THE SALVATION ARMY KICK OFF THE 129TH ANNUAL RED KETTLE CAMPAIGN

What: The Salvation Army will host a pickleball tournament to help kick off the 2019 Red Kettle Campaign featuring Senator Marco Rubio as a guest speaker. The tournament is part of a series of events to celebrate the beginning of the annual fundraiser that has a goal of $150,000 this year for the Miami-Dade area.  All funds raised during the Red Kettle Campaign help The Salvation Army serve local people in need year-round.

Through the help of donors, volunteers, and community partners, The Salvation Army provided more than 150,000 meals and 35,000 nights of shelter to men, women, and children in the Miami-Dade area last year.

The Salvation Army relies on volunteers to help meet the fundraising goal and encourages everyone to visit www.RegistertoRing.com to choose a location, date, and shift to ring a bell at a red kettle in their community. New this year, donors will be able to use their smartphones to give at the kettles through Apple Pay, Google Pay, and QR Code.
